Bred Cows
Leather: is the leather used in shoes, clothing, furniture etc comes from cows stomach?
Such as (most?) Man I'm totally against Fur Coats breeeding for animals just for their skin is way out of my personal set of values. But it occurs to me that I wear leather shoes and a leather the jacket, but I do not know it knoiw leather comes from an animal "just rude to his skin"? I have no personal problem with eating meat and wearing leather if it comes from animals killed for their meat. Anyone know?
Short awnser yes. I used to work in a slaughter plant Hide and used for almost anything. Depending on the market. But for the most part a majority of shoes are not real leather.Once the hides are cured they are sent predominantly used for furiture or clothing. Unless you are rich and like real leather shoes. I wouldnt put much thougt it. It's not like you walk around with 2 chinchilas dead baby in your feet. happy tree hugging.
